From January 27 to 31, the DIALOG project carried out its first Data Collection Week at DGAC-DSNA-DTI in Toulouse, France — a major milestone in our journey toward more intelligent, adaptive AI systems in air traffic control.

Nine professional air traffic controllers from across Europe took part in the study, contributing their expertise across 18 full simulation runs. Using techniques such as  Electroencephalography (EEG), Galvanic Skin Response (GSR), ECG, and Eye Tracking, we captured rich data on attention, stress, and workload in real time — essential input for building AI systems that truly understand and support human operators.

This intensive data collection effort represents a crucial step in developing the three core AI-driven assistants at the heart of DIALOG: the Intent Inferring Service, Teammate Awareness Service, and the Teamwork Assistant.

The goal? Smarter support. Less intrusion. More safety and efficiency in the sky.
