Last month, the DIALOG project was proudly presented at the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA) 2024 conference held in Atlanta from June 1 to 6. Our project partner, Anne-Marie from Radboud University, organized and led a panel titled “What goes on in the mind – Mental state monitoring using physiological measures in aerospace” on June 4.
During the panel, she presented key findings from the DIALOG/Team Metrics RESCHU study, focusing on monitoring attention during semi-realistic multi-UAV tasks. The study demonstrated that attention to task-related speech and other stimuli can be effectively tracked using multiple physiological signals, including EEG, skin conductance, heart rate, and facial expressions, in a lifelike UAV control environment.
These advancements highlight the DIALOG project’s commitment to developing AI-driven, human-centric solutions to enhance mental state awareness and safety in aerospace operations.
