These sessions were dedicated to advancing the project\u2019s research on intent inference, workload awareness, and AI-human teaming\u2014key pillars for the future of Air Traffic Management.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With research well underway, the DIALOG consortium met in <strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"299\">Oslo<\/strong> for two days of in-depth technical sessions\u2014an important step toward developing AI teammates that can <strong data-start=\"402\" data-end=\"446\">collaborate with Air Traffic Controllers<\/strong> in a seamless and adaptive way. Hosted by <strong data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"499\" data-is-only-node=\"\">SINTEF<\/strong>, the meeting focused on refining system design, testing approaches, and shared dissemination goals, reinforcing the value of close coordination in these final phases of exploratory development.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1788\"><strong data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1288\">Collaboration in Action<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1216\">Day one was dedicated to defining how the three main services\u2014the <strong data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1089\">Intent Inferring Service<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1095\" data-end=\"1125\">Teammate Awareness Service<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1157\">Teamwork Assistant<\/strong>\u2014will work together to support <strong data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1215\">Air Traffic Controllers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1455\">Structured discussions and live scenarios allowed partners to refine interaction logic, validate early concepts, and plan integration. Sessions covered <strong data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1398\">agent behavior modelling<\/strong>, initial architecture feedback, and evaluation planning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1820\">Another key topic was coordination with the <strong data-start=\"1501\" data-end=\"1510\">AWARE<\/strong> project. This dialogue will ensure consistency across <strong data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1586\">SESAR initiatives<\/strong> and encourage cross-project learning. In parallel, a dedicated slot focused on <strong data-start=\"1666\" data-end=\"1701\">communication and dissemination<\/strong>. Partners discussed storytelling goals and mapped out future outreach actions to give visibility to research outcomes.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"2152\" data-end=\"2480\"><strong data-start=\"2152\" data-end=\"2182\">A Focus on Technical Depth<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1859\" data-end=\"2137\">Day two offered space for deeper technical reflection. <strong data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"1934\">Ophelia Prillard<\/strong> (SINTEF) opened with an overview of the current <strong data-start=\"1983\" data-end=\"2008\">software architecture<\/strong>. Then, <strong data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2034\">Marianna Groia<\/strong> (Deep Blue) introduced the upcoming <strong data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2095\">evaluation framework<\/strong>, highlighting key methodological pillars.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2139\" data-end=\"2464\">Later, <strong data-start=\"2146\" data-end=\"2168\">Anne-Marie Brouwer<\/strong> (Radboud University) presented the <strong data-start=\"2204\" data-end=\"2228\">RESHU Lab experiment<\/strong>, which explores how <strong data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2277\">physiological monitoring<\/strong> can inform real-time workload estimation. These insights, combined with demos like <strong data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2374\">ExtremeXP<\/strong> and sensor-driven modelling tools, moved the team closer to a robust validation approach.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"2868\" data-end=\"3099\"><strong data-start=\"2868\" data-end=\"2886\">Moving Forward<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"2490\" data-end=\"2656\">The meeting reaffirmed DIALOG\u2019s mission: designing <strong data-start=\"2541\" data-end=\"2555\">AI systems<\/strong> that work alongside human controllers\u2014<strong data-start=\"2594\" data-end=\"2606\">adaptive<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2608\" data-end=\"2623\">transparent<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2629\" data-end=\"2655\">operationally relevant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2857\">Thanks to shared vision and aligned priorities, the project now enters its next phase with confidence.
