The ÉALÚ-AER team was proud to support the recent demonstration of Ireland’s first all-electric aircraft flight by BETA Technologies at Shannon Airport. Beyond celebrating this milestone, the team engaged in in-depth discussions with BETA on the future of EVTOL operations in Ireland, focusing on the integration of U-space Service Providers (USSPs) to enable safe, automated airspace management for electric aircraft. These conversations highlighted the need for scalable digital infrastructure and regulatory alignment to support next-generation air mobility.
Drawing from its experience building drone infrastructure across Ireland, ÉALÚ-AER emphasized how its network of landing sites, communication systems, and data integration tools can directly support future EVTOL automation and charging infrastructure, such as the hub planned for Shannon. The project continues to play a central role in shaping Ireland’s advanced air mobility ecosystem by bridging aviation innovation with real-world operational readiness.
