Welcome to eMCO-SiPO, a project dedicated to exploring the technical and regulatory possibilities of reducing the number of pilots in large aircraft for Commercial Air Transport, while maintaining current safety levels. We focus on two different concepts of operation: extended Minimum-Crew Operations and Single-Pilot Operations. 

Our independent analysis, funded by EASA, aims at developing a reference risk-assessment framework and knowledge base for these concepts’ safety analysis, considering both normal and emergency situation.

Project duration: September 2022 – December 2024.
