The recently concluded Airspace World 2024 conference held in Geneva proved to be a hub of innovation and collaboration in the realm of aviation technology. Among the projects showcased, HUCAN stood out, garnering attention for its advancements in AI-enabled ATM systems.
One of the highlights of the event was the SESAR Walking Tour, where attendees had the opportunity to delve into the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of air traffic control. Amidst this experience, Mohsan Jameel from DLR-Institut für Flugführung presented HUCAN to the participants. His insightful presentation offered a comprehensive perspective on the certification and approval processes for AI-enabled ATM systems that HUCAN will implement in the coming months.
The SESAR Walking Tour attracted 500 people, fostering valuable interaction between industry stakeholders and SESAR specialists. Participants gained firsthand exposure to the diverse solutions being implemented and utilized throughout Europe. The tours encompassed the entire ATM landscape, delving into airport operations, network management, air traffic control services, and the supporting Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) technologies. From cutting-edge innovations to real-world deployments, participants received a comprehensive overview of the complete ATM process.
