This key event, held from November 27th to 30th, showcased the groundbreaking research and innovative ideas shaping the future of air traffic management. The HUCAN project stood out for its significant contributions.<\/p>\n<p>A key event was the <strong>roundtable discussion titled <em>Artificial Intelligence in ATM<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0featuring Giuseppe Contissa from the European University Institute, partner of HUCAN. The panel, moderated by Ruben Flohr of SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, discussed the role of AI in ATM, highlighting both opportunities and challenges. The panel included industry experts like Jos\u00e9 Manuel Cordero from CRIDA A.I.E., Luis Barbero of GATCO, Paula L\u00f3pez-Catal\u00e1 representing Innaxis, and Ramon Dalmau-Codina from EUROCONTROL. They shared operational use cases and ongoing research initiatives on AI in ATM. ATM is perfectly suited for a boost in automation and AI-powered assistance. The massive amount of data generated by routine procedures creates an opportunity to leverage AI and extensive automation.
