A central aspect of HUCAN\u2019s contribution is the systematic analysis and classification of AI-based solutions, using the <\/span><b>taxonomies established by EASA and SESAR <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to evaluate the levels of automation these technologies enable. The project also investigates the <\/span><b>emerging requirements<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> these solutions must fulfill, as well as the <\/span><b>methodologies <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">needed to support their validation and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the research and development phases, up to the release of real-world applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/research.dblue.it\/hucan\/portfolio-items\/d4-2-performance-based-requirements-for-advanced-automation\/?portfolioCats=5%2C3%2C4%2C6\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">research<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> conducted so far marks a step toward a certification-aware design ofAI-based systems and advanced automation, ensuring they meet <\/span><b>safety, reliability and operational performance expectations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
