It assists air traffic controllers in different operations: integration of new entrants, growing interconnections, optimized environmentally friendly decisions, and overall efficiency of air transport. In addition, AI-based data-driven algorithms support operators in different roles and phases of the flight reducing workload for busytasks.<\/p>\n<p>From March 3rd to 7th, <b>ENAC<\/b> and <b>Airbus Defence and Space<\/b> conducted the first validation session of the Air Traffic Controllers&#8217; Digital Assistant (ATC-DA) for <b>Conflict Resolution<\/b>: researching if AI can effectively support ATCOs, and how it can be fine-tuned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);\">Simulation Environment<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The experiment took place in a dedicated test room at ENAC, using the GENETICS Airbus Defence and Space platform. The setup included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover);\">DALIA radar interface for visualization and clearances<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover);\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);\">Methodology<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In the first session, each of the eight participating ATCO held a valid en-route radar license with over 10 years of experience and the p<span style=\"color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing);
