RESPONSE project participates in the SESAR Annual Conference 2025

Six months after its kick-off, RESPONSE project took part in its second SESAR event: the SESAR Annual Conference 2025, held on February 18th in Brussels.

The event presented the new European ATM Master Plan, outlining its vision, strategic deployment objectives, and development priorities for the future of air traffic management in Europe. The conference gathered policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders from the aviation sector, offering an exhibition area showcasing innovative SESAR projects and cutting-edge technologies.

RESPONSE project is an exploratory research activity in SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research), the technological pillar of the EU’s Single European Sky policy and a key enabler of the European Commission’s Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy. Through the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking (SJU), SESAR aims to accelerate the digital transformation of air traffic management in Europe, by harnessing, developing and accelerating technologies to manage conventional aircraft, drones, air taxis and vehicles flying at higher altitudes, with the goal of making Europe’s airspace the most efficient and environmentally-friendly sky to fly in the world.

Carmen Bejarano Espada, Project Leader of RESPONSE, commented:

Participating in the SESAR Annual Conference was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our project and learn more about other initiatives in SESAR. The exhibition space fostered engaging discussions with industry representatives, experts, and fellow researchers, allowing us to exchange valuable insights and explore synergies. Events like these are crucial in driving innovation forward and strengthening collaboration within our ecosystem“.
