This open-access article investigates early signs of driver fatigue using an EEG-driven approach combined with eye-tracking analysis. The study reveals how professional drivers’ visual attention shifts toward non-informative areas of the environment as fatigue sets in. Findings highlight the potential of EEG-based monitoring for enhancing road safety and understanding cognitive impairment onset, providing valuable insights for both short- and long-range professional drivers.
