IFAV3

Increased Flexibility of ATCO Validations

Objectives

Growing traffic numbers, environmental aspects and cost effectiveness issues create a huge demand on the Air Traffic Management. One key resource is the availability of air traffic controllers, nevertheless, due to current regulations, their deployment is restricted to a specific airspace or unit based on unit endorsements.
The IFAV3 project aims at enabling a more flexible deployment of ATCOs to sectors with various flexible endorsement strategies, procedural means and technical enablers.
