JARVIS, a SESAR research project launched in September 2023, has revealed its first concept image. The project aims to deliver different digital assistants to team with their human counterparts: an Airborne Digital Assistant, an Air Traffic Control Digital Assistant and an Airport Digital Assistant.

The concept image shows the integration of AI technologies within the aviation sector and the human-AI interactions of operators, pilots and air traffic controllers with the digital assistants. From airport activities to in-flight operations, going through control towers, JARVIS’ innovative approach could redefine the entire aviation experience.

Launched as a collaboration between leading aerospace companies, airports, industry, air navigation service providers and AI specialists, the project aims to address the challenges faced today by the aviation industry. As it enters its next phase, the concept image gives a look into a future where AI takes flight, leading the aviation industry to new levels of innovation.
