The DIALOG project has reached a significant milestone following a week of hands-on technical sessions at ONERA (The French Aerospace Lab). These Dry Runs served as the final stress-test for the system architecture before the project moves into the operational validation phase scheduled for March.
Addressing the Integration Challenge
Innovation in Air Traffic Management (ATM) requires more than just functional code: it requires a robust and stable infrastructure. The team dedicated the first part of the week to resolving complex integration limits and connectivity requirements. By addressing these technical challenges early, the consortium ensured that the platform can maintain high performance during high-fidelity simulations.
The AI Teaming Assistant in Action
The most important result of the week was the successful deployment of the AI Teaming Assistant within the ATC real-time simulation environment. Seeing the system stable and responsive under simulated operational load confirms that the technical groundwork is complete. This milestone marks the transition from a purely technical prototype to a tool ready for human-in-the-loop interaction.
The Road to March
With the environment now fully validated, the project is on track for the Operational Validation campaign. The next phase will involve French and German Air Traffic Controllers, who will provide the first direct feedback on how the DIALOG solution supports teamwork and safety in complex scenarios.
