Discover how real-world cognitive research is helping DIALOG build smarter, more human-centered AI for air traffic control.

In
DIALOG, we’re addressing a real challenge: how to make AI systems that don’t just listen — but know when and how to step in and support air traffic controllers, without adding distractions or workload.

Understanding human behaviour in real-life conditions is essential. That’s why we are proud to collaborate with Radboud University (RU), based in Nijmegen, Netherlands.

Through the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behavior and the Behavioural Science Institute, RU brings world-class expertise in bridging the gap between controlled lab research and the messy complexity of real-world activities.

Their projects — from measuring natural communication behaviour to tracking attentional engagement during live events — help DIALOG face one of its most important missions:
Teaching AI to recognize subtle human signals, adapt in real-time, and become a true teammate in complex operational environments.

Thanks to Radboud University, we’re pushing closer to our goal: building AI that enhances human decision-making — not replaces it.
