As airspace complexity increases across Europe, mitigating overload for Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs) is more important than ever. On September 30th, three SESAR 3 JU projects will host a Joint online Open Day to showcase how Artificial Intelligence can safely augment human capabilities during every phase of flight.

Meet the Projects

TADA (Terminal Airspace): integrating AMAN sequencing (including TTL and TTG) and supporting ATCOs by generating 4D trajectories for each inbound flight and proposing clearances to meet the given trajectory

AWARE (En-Route Operations): enhancing situational awareness with an AI system that tracks controller focus, offering both advisory support and the automated execution of routine safety tasks.

ORCI (Approach Phase): Optimising landing flows using a cloud-enabled AI Decision Support Tool (DST) that predicts and manages the spacing between consecutive aircraft.
