Today, 11 November 2024, our Project Coordinator Stefano Riverso proudly represented the JARVIS project during the SESAR Joint Undertaking‘s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Flagship Workshop.The workshop, held at Spazio Europa in Rome, Italy, is a milestone for aviation projects integrating AI and for aviation and air traffic management (ATM) professionals interested in this topic.
Organised by the SESAR Joint Undertaking and the ENGAGE 2 project to deepen the common understanding and accelerate the transformative impact of AI, the workshop brought together experts from across Europe, including key stakeholders such as the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Through active participation, JARVIS aims to contribute to relevant discussions and share perspectives on the integration of AI in ATM.
Key objectives of the meeting included:
- Promoting interaction among SESAR projects working in AI
- Encouraging dialogue with EASA on AI implementation and regulation
- Shaping the future of AI in ATM through collective contributions
Building on the initial coordination efforts of the first online AI coordination workshop – held on 20 September – this event intensified knowledge sharing. As AI continues to redefine the aviation landscape, JARVIS remains committed to playing a leading role in this collective journey towards smarter and more efficient skies.
