Earlier this month, Prof. Shahina Begum from our partner Mälardalen University took the stage at CCTS 2025 – 2nd International Conference on Creativity, Technology, and Sustainability, to present her paper:
“Towards Sustainable AI Development: A Focus on Transparency and Explainability.”

The session highlighted how TRUSTY is translating theory into practice, applying transparency and explainability to real-world AI systems. These two pillars are not only ethical imperatives — they are key to building AI people can trust, aligned with long-term societal and environmental goals.

🔍 From health to industry, the use cases presented demonstrated how TRUSTY ensures that AI behaves responsibly, predictably, and accountably, paving the way for truly sustainable development.

Why CCTS 2025 Matters

Held under the umbrella of Saudi Vision 2030, CCTS 2025 serves as a leading international platform for cutting-edge research at the intersection of creativity, technology, and sustainability.

Following its highly successful 2024 edition — which saw 700 participants and 170 papers from 24 countries — this year’s event brought together global thought leaders, researchers, and innovators working to address some of today’s most pressing challenges.
From climate change to digital transformation, the conference fosters collaboration between academia, industry, and policyexactly the kind of ecosystem where TRUSTY thrives.
