Back in July, TRUSTY partners at Mälardalen University (MDU) took part in the 2025 International Conference on Advanced Machine Learning and Data Science (AMLDS 2025), held in Tokyo from 19–21 July.
They presented two important papers:
-
📄 “A Theoretical Probabilistic Framework for Explaining Generative AI” – presented by Shahina Begum
-
📄 “Integration of Explainable Artificial Intelligence and Multimodal Machine Learning for Drivers’ Fitness” – presented by Mobyen Uddin Ahmed, who received the Best Oral Presentation Award .
This recognition shows how TRUSTY is moving the field forward. On one side, it contributes to safer, smarter, and more transparent Air Traffic Management (ATM). On the other, it strengthens the SESAR and aviation research community by developing trustworthy AI that people can understand, explain, and adopt in real workflows.
Moreover, this achievement proves the impact of TRUSTY’s human-centric approach. By combining explainability with operational relevance, the project supports both academic progress and practical innovation.
Congratulations to our MDU colleagues — Shahina Begum, Shaibal Barua, Mobyen Uddin Ahmed, and Mir Riyanul Islam — for their outstanding work. Your success is a milestone for the whole TRUSTY community!
