We are pleased to invite you to join us in person for the ENSURE & SPATIO Open Day, taking place on 8th and 9th April 2026 at the Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI), located near Shannon International Airport, Ireland.

During the event, we will showcase project outcomes along with live demonstrations of two complementary SESAR Industrial Research (IR) solutions addressing U-space separation management and Air Traffic Management (ATM)–U-space integration.

SPATIO – Solution 02B: Tactical Conflict Prediction, Resolution and Implementation with Onboard Extension This solution provides Tactical Conflict

Prediction (TCP) and Tactical Conflict Resolution (TCR) services to detect, resolve, and monitor potential conflicts between cooperative U-space operations in Very Low-Level (VLL) airspace. The live exercise will demonstrate multi-U-Space Service Providers (USSP) interfaces, U3 conflict prediction and resolution services, and secure transmission of resolution commands from USSP to Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) through the USSP–Control and Non-Payload Communications (CNPC)–UAS pipeline during real-time operations within the Shannon Airport environment.

ENSURE – Solution 01: ATM–U-space Interface & Services

ENSURE focuses on defining and implementing the operational and technical interfaces required to integrate ATM and U-space ecosystems, enabling safe UAS operations in and around controlled airspace. The demonstration will include automated ATM–U-space coordination, Air Traffic Control Operator (ATCO) and UAS pilot interfaces, and U-space services such as Flight Authorisation, Network Remote ID, Conformance Monitoring, UAS Geographical Zones, Emergency Procedures, and Tactical Operations Messaging. Validation will be conducted through live UAS operations within Airport Environment coordinated directly with the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower.

The demonstrations are made possible thanks to the continued collaboration and support of Shannon Airport, the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), AirNav Ireland, and FMCI for hosting the event.

Both projects receive funding from the European Commission in cooperation with the SESAR Joint Undertaking under the SESAR 3 Innovation and Research framework.
