SPATIO was proud to participate in the recent SESAR Walking Tours organised by SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking at Airspace World in Geneva from 19 to 21 March 2024.

This event provided a fantastic platform to showcase our project’s innovative solutions for ensuring safe and efficient drone integration within European airspace.

As the number of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) continues to rise, maintaining safe separation between aircraft becomes an increasingly critical function of air traffic management (ATM). SPATIO directly addresses this challenge by developing strategic and tactical conflict resolution services and optimizing capacity within U-space airspace.

On March 20th, Pablo Sanchez-Escalonilla, project coordinator from ENAIRE, delivered a captivating presentation titled “Managing Safe Separation“. This presentation offered a comprehensive overview of SPATIO’s key objectives, highlighting the project’s potential to revolutionize airspace management in the face of growing drone traffic.

We were joined by valued project partners from Collins Aerospace, Deep Blue, and EuroUSC Italia, who provided their expertise and insights throughout the event. Together, we showcased SPATIO’s commitment to shaping a future where drones and traditional air traffic seamlessly coexist.
