The SPATIO project participated in the SESAR Innovation Days, held in Rome from November 12 to 15, 2024 organised by SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking and sponsored by Aeroporti di Roma, Enav, and Leonardo. As an important event in the field of aviation research, it provided an opportunity to share SPATIO’s work on U-space solutions and air traffic management.
On November 14, David Carramiñana from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid presented SPATIO’s research during a session dedicated to innovative concepts. His paper, titled “Scalable U-Space Authorization Workflow Enabling Fairness and Capacity Management”, focused on improving the efficiency and fairness of airspace operations and was well-received by attendees. SPATIO also contributed to the exhibition with a technical poster showcasing its solutions for Separation Management. The display encouraged valuable discussions with participants interested in the project’s work on integrating drones into the airspace. See the poster here!
The event marked an opportunity for SPATIO to engage with the aviation research community and share progress on its ongoing activities.
