The SPATIO project was featured at Airspace World 2025, held from May 13 to 15 in Lisbon, Portugal. As part of the SESAR Walking Tours, SPATIO contributed to discussions on integrating drone operations into European airspace.
During Tour 13, titled “Paving the way for integrated drone operations in Europe,” Pablo Sanchez Escalonilla from ENAIRE presented SPATIO’s session on “Integration of Strategic Conflict Resolution, Tactical Conflict Resolution and Dynamic Capacity Management.” This session highlighted SPATIO’s approach to managing airspace complexity and ensuring safe drone operations in increasingly crowded skies.
Following this, SPATIO participated in a joint session with the ENSURE project. Khushboo Wadhwani from Collins Aerospace presented “U-space Separation Management (SPATIO) and ATM-U-space Interface and Airspace Reconfiguration Service (ENSURE),” illustrating how both projects contribute to flexible and integrated airspace management.
Participation in the SESAR Walking Tours provided SPATIO with a valuable opportunity to connect with stakeholders across the aviation community and demonstrate its contributions to the development of future U-space services.
